'I'd just like to say thank you and let you know how helpful and inspiring that day was.
From January this year I have been running an afterschool club for KS2 children from the school....... I ran 12 sessions up til April, ending with a performance at a whole school assembly with parents invited too.
18 kids performed a drumming piece, went on to boomwhackers and sang too.
Some of the kids are known to be a little troublesome in their behaviour during class time but engaged with the drumming easily.  All the kids enjoyed the club with enthusiasm and were a joy to be around.
They were keen to help set up and pack away and were very very proud of themselves during the assembly.
They talked about how it made them happy when it was drumming club, how it was the best club ever, how they looked forward to it and want to do it again!
Feedback from parents and teachers was really positive.
One teacher has requested I work with the group on a Boomwhacker piece to represent the school during a somerset schools musical prodction where all local schools take part.

The training day gave me the confidence to go ahead with this project so a big thanks to you, Janey and Susan for the inspiration.
