It was a delight to visit Offwell School today. Six yr 6's helped me get installed in the village hall and then we had a wonderful 10 minutes of playing together before the rest of their class arrived.
This is very unusual and it meant that I had the helpers grooving along, watching each other and fully entrained when the others arrived. Without a word I ushered them a few at a time to the instruments and settled them in. In turn they grooved along with the group until everyone was in. So there we were five minutes into the session with a fully formed groove going!
