Last week  I had great fun in a primary school.  On this occasion I was working with the staff - teachers and assistants - on an inset day.
This group rarely see each other because they have different break and lunch-times,  so, there was a huge buzz of voices when I asked them to share with each other their initial experience of doing something fun together.  One woman was expresssing the feeling in her body of letting go of stress, another was rubbing her tummy saying how good the movement and singing had felt; at one point a teacher was acknowledging her assistant for the creative displays she was doing in the classroom.
Towards the end of the session I suggested to the headteacher that it might be fun to video the group as a memento for later of what they had done together; someone fetched a camera, and, so everyone could see a short clip of them enjoying themselves - living proof!!!
I asked the head to end the session and he brought the music down to a gentle finish.
I feel in my element facilitating this kind of group.  My background in counseling and groupwork enables me to sense the needs of individuals and groups, and to be giving people an opportunity to express and release tensions comes naturally - I love it.
I am offering  simple strucutres - starting places  to connect  personally and with colleagues through music.
My intention is that each participant may leave feeling a renewed commitment to themselves within  the group
Ideally these groups last for 3 hours to allow time for reflection and focus on ways of taking the learning back into the work place (as well as peoples personal lives!)
Group sizes from 6 - 60
Suitable for teachers, care staff, support groups, any group of  people who  want to explore ways to  connect at a deeper level
I am based in Devon and can travel.
