After a manic two weeks of driving around the country from Swansea to Ipswitch its nice to be home and still for half term week
Things are changing fast at DrumCrazy. I am creating a new website, organising a training week with Arthur Hull for the October half term, looking to train new facilitators and still haven't been fishing this year! Sunday, December 28

Just before Christmas DrumCrazy spent a morning in Newquay with the Fifteen Cornwall apprentices. A lovely group to work with. The really got stuck into the drumming and were keen to discuss their experience and relate it back to the workplace.

'I'd just like to say thank you and let you know how helpful and inspiring that day was.
From January this year I have been running an afterschool club for KS2 children from the school....... I ran 12 sessions up til April, ending with a performance at a whole school assembly with parents invited too.
18 kids performed a drumming piece, went on to boomwhackers and sang too. more »

There were 13 teachers and assistants attending from primary and special schools.
In the morning participants played a balance of drums and percussion instruments together. By creating the music first hand they learnt skills and ideas about what it takes to create rhythms, improvise and be part of a music ensemble. more »

Just got back from WOMAD 2007, Our tenth WOMAD running drumcircles.
Logistical problems were paramount. Mud everywhere, no vehicles moving on site so the normal drumcircle was just not possible.Couldn't get the drums there and they would have been destroyed by mud , oh and there were no chairs because they were on the other side of the site. Anyway we agreed to get everything we could personally carry from our van and see what we could do. We still managed to occupy two hundred people with soundshapes and hand percussion and really enjoyed it. If you were there tell us how it was for you. Two main songs were Fanga and Eh Away. MP3 of Eh Away is here Did you take any photos? email them to me and I will post them up. Monday, June 18
